Supporting our Library,
Strengthening our community.
Did you know the Alexandria Library sees more than 1.4 million visitors annually?
Our library's branches serve over 1.4 million visitors and web users annually—and they're visiting for more than the extensive book collection and helpful staff. The Alexandria Library is a place for engaging imaginations, building community, and unlocking opportunities. It's an invaluable resource accessible to everyone in our City.
Our Mission
The Alexandria Library Foundation is dedicated to strengthening our community through advocacy and the supplemental funding of the Alexandria Library System.
What We Do
Your donations make it possible for us to ensure the
Alexandria Library’s ability to:
Support learners of
all ages
by offering exciting, free programming for children, teens, and adults.
Provide vital resources to our community
including physical and e-books, historical collections, access to updated technology for public use, and a helpful, well trained staff.
Create, rejuvenate, and maintain welcoming spaces
